I would change the gallery you are using. Check out my site http://www.luckypimp.com. Go into gallery and demo it. Its a free software that works great on stand alone or you can imput it into phpnuke. Its easy to upload and quite powerful, thats for sure. You might look at it, here is the link

I agree with bios. Use that gallery program software. The cool thing about it is that it has a Gallery Remote that will allow you to update from your desktop without having to even vist your site.
Along with that it has a smooth feature called Slideshow. When I was running my site as an adult site I got many people that emailed me and told me how much they enjoyed "hands free" surfing....go figure...lol
